Community Bankers Trust Corporation is a well-capitalized, single-bank holding company headquartered in the greater Richmond, Virginia market. The Company is the holding company for Essex Bank, a Virginia state bank with 24 full-service offices, 13 of which are in Virginia, seven of which are in Maryland and four of which are in Georgia. The Bank also operates two loan production offices in Virginia.
The Bank was established in 1926 and is headquartered in Tappahannock, Virginia.
